Awake NY Brings Pink Energy to the Air Jordan 6

The Awake NY x Air Jordan 6 “Bubblegum” is one of the loudest Jordan collaborations of the year. Dressed in Playful Pink, Infrared 23, Shy Pink and Arctic Pink, the pair takes the classic Air Jordan 6 shape and gives it a very bold Awake NY twist.

Instead of keeping things neutral, the sneaker goes all in on pink. The upper mixes different pink shades across the panels, collar and overlays, while red stitching, red lace locks and Infrared-style details add extra contrast. A black midsole breaks up the softer tones, while aged-looking outsole sections give the pair a slightly vintage feel.

The “Bubblegum” colorway is expected to release alongside a second Awake NY x Air Jordan 6, known as the “Blueberry” pair. Together, the two sneakers make this collaboration feel more like a full project than a single drop.

The Bubblegum version is clearly the louder option. It feels playful, colorful and very on-brand for Awake NY’s New York streetwear energy. Awake NY Exclusive Release

The release setup is the most important detail here. While the “Blueberry” colorway is expected to receive a wider release through SNKRS and select retailers in September, the Awake NY x Air Jordan 6 “Bubblegum” is currently expected to be an Awake NY exclusive.

That makes the pink pair much more difficult on paper. The launch is set to begin through Awake NY’s EQL raffle on August 23, 2026, and if no wider retailer drop follows, this could easily become the harder pair from the pack.

That also fits the energy of the colorway. The “Bubblegum” version is the louder, more expressive pair, while the “Blueberry” feels more wearable and more suited for a wider rollout. With matching apparel also tied to the project, Awake NY is clearly treating this as a full collaboration moment rather than just another Jordan 6 release.

Why This Release Matters

The Air Jordan 6 does not always get the same mainstream hype as the Air Jordan 1, 3 or 4, but the right collaboration can change that quickly. Awake NY gives the model a fresh angle, and the “Bubblegum” colorway is hard to ignore.

At $230, the price is high, but that is expected for a Jordan collaboration at this level. The design is bold, the colorway stands out immediately and the collaboration already has plenty of eyes on it. If the wider release is limited, this could easily become one of the more talked-about Air Jordan 6 drops of the year.
