Air Jordan 1 High "UNC Reimagined" Releases In May
The Air Jordan 1 High "UNC Reimagined" is set to make waves this summer, bringing back the beloved University Blue colorway with a fresh twist. This release pays homage to Michael Jordan's alma mater, the University of North Carolina, while embracing a vintage aesthetic that aligns with Jordan Brand's "Reimagined" series.
Originally debuting in 1985, the Air Jordan 1 High "UNC" has seen several retros over the years, including the 2015 release and a patent leather version in 2019. However, the 2025 iteration takes a different approach by incorporating an aged midsole, cracked leather details, and an overall pre-worn aesthetic reminiscent of the recent "Lost & Found" series.
Dressed in a mix of white, University Blue, and sail tones, the sneaker features premium leather overlays and a slightly yellowed midsole, giving it a nostalgic yet modern feel. The vintage Nike Air branding on the tongue further reinforces the retro inspiration. On-foot images reveal how well the sneaker pairs with various fits, making it a must-have for both sneaker collectors and casual wearers alike.
While an official release date has yet to be confirmed, the Air Jordan 1 High "UNC Reimagined" is expected to drop in Summer 2024 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated release.
